"Inside an eyelet border, oak leaves fall to a row of acorns on this knitted scarf," says Clark. "The scarf begins with a provisional cast on, and the ends are finished in a simple picot edging." This beauty is knit from the centre to each end, BUT a special set up row for the second half "includes a special decrease to align the leaf stems" because "pattern will be a half stitch offset from the first half"-- since you pick up from the provisional cast on and knit down from there. Stitch patterns are both charted and written out, too; Clark's level of detail is equal to her design mastery.
