3637 Simply De-Vine Cardigan

Here is a non-age-specific cardi that incorporates many wonderful features. Zimmerman lengthens the short sleeves in case your upper arms do not belong in the 'after' photos in a gym magazine, and keeps flattering vertical lines to the sides; there's no waist shaping (there is for the back neck), but you don't really need it. Sleeves are set in, and the three buttons at the bust are close enough together (and are so well placed) that you shouldn't have any gaping at the front if you knit a size intended to be snug. Lace panel instructions are charted only, not written out.
