"Influenced by a French-style hat this newsboy cap is knit in the round in Half-brioche stitch," says Goberstein. "The visor is added at the last portion of the pattern and can be omitted easily if so desired. The cord, connected by two buttons, is a nice decorative touch but it can also be used for more snug-fitting purpose." The company reports that this is one of their most in-demand patterns, and we can see why; not only is it dynamite to wear, and both flattering and suitable for everyone, but it's a beautifully-written pattern that's easy to follow. Note that gauge is given over Half-brioche stitch.
