3633 Kollage Kimono

An eye-catching piece that combines the best of a lot of different styles of garment, this is a kimono to wear with everything. Zimmerman indents the armholes once, deeply, to provide the effect of a set-in sleeve, though the sleeve tops themselves are flat. The 'skirt' is quite belled for a graceful swing when you move; the neckline is a lovely combination of a scoop and a V. The combination of knit/purl patterns-- the garter with the box stitch-- is strong but calm. Just the thing for a magnificent clasp or artisanal button.
