113 Swirling Sun Hat
WEB EXCLUSIVE

"A sideways-knit-to-fit lace edging brim topped with gently decreasing spiral lace," sums up Neatby. But-- as usual-- there's an enormous amount here. There's the invisibly grafted join for the lace strip, if you like; rational pickup ratios that encourage you to become a more conscious, thinking knitter; and many helpful diagrams and tips. "Sun hats have hard lives," advises the designer, "doubling as buckets for sea shells, nets for butterflies and other such fun!" And she wants yours to be as interesting and durable as possible, and succeeds perfectly here.
