Ribbon Candy
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Bylsma: "Knitted ribbon is wonderfully springy, especially when ribbed, which is the reason for the size range. Without blocking, the garment will fit the smaller end of the range. With blocking, the garment will fit the upper end of the size range. The amount of blocking is up to you. Because of the dropped stitches for knit weaving the top will seem much too small as you are working on it and will not be a true measure of width. Knit a swatch and try blocking it to your liking first if you have sizing questions. Don’t be afraid of knitting a skirt! The drapey nature of the ribbon and lines of the ribbing are very forgiving (i.e. great camouflage). And knitting the skirt is wonderful for road trips and other times when you don’t want to concentrate but still knit." Set-in sleeves further refine the fit. This is a couture-style piece that's still easy to make.
