Two little vests for kids are we, one a so-called cardigan vest (on the lass, with a buttoned front) and one a sweater vest (on the lad, to pull over your head). The original yarn was a wool blend with a pigtail-- a little cotton/poly extrusion-- and is no longer available. But you can see the rightness and unfussy design quality about this-- the single cable down the front of the sweater vest, the two cable panels on either side of the vest buttons. The ribbing is all 1 x 1; the look, smart, neat, dashing. Try Buttons instead of the Allsorts, which is a marl-style yarn with slubs instead of pigtails.
