Cranley: "I really enjoy knitting with a cotton yarn that has a small amount of elastic in the content. The result is a wonderful stable fabric that sports a lovely soft hand. It's a great yarn for shaping into odd configurations as stretching is held in check and the knitting stays in place."
This purse project is by no means difficult. Easy "lattice" strips are worked in knit-every-row garter stitch. These lattice strips are then "woven" together to create the front section of the purse. The pattern instructions have complete color illustrations to demonstrate the technique. The purse is lined with fabric to keep knitting paraphernalia under wraps while bamboo handles and a snap closure keep contents secure.
