In which Gallimore reinterprets the fair isle tradition as an homage to winter. These socks are fine gauge works of art when complete.

Both socks feature her signature checkerboard band over the ankle. Extensive charts are provided for both designs; virtually the only sections not charted are the heel and the plain part of the round toe. The author herself uses a 12" round needle for fair isle socks, and strongly recommends it.
