"This pattern has a few options," explains Hobbs. "The choice is yours alone. You may choose to knit a scarf or a shawl. It could be very tailored with straight edges or you may wish to add a fringe. The pattern is written to maximize that yarn available and have little left over." Excellent points all-- but the design is so distinctive and yet so easy (only 8 pattern rows), that it's elevated into art territory. Stunning and fairly uncomplicated-- there are lace stitches on both sides of the piece, but nothing crazy-- don't walk hand in hand often, but here they are beautifully united.
