KS 203 Asymmetrical Wrap & Gauntlets

The wrap here evokes the luxury and generous proportions of stoles from the 30's and 40's-- you can imagine Bette Davis or Gloria Swanson rocking it-- but the matching gauntlets make it an Ensemble. As such, you might want to keep the rest of your outfit plainer than usual. The pattern stitch is dead simple, two rows, yet provides a splendid overall texture and works with any kind of yarn-- tweedy, marled, variegated, any kind of hand-dyed or handpainted yarn would look lovely. Perhaps a precious fibre blend (here, a wool/angora) would serve the project best.
