LEDH-26 The Shorty Tam

"The shorty Tam is intended to be worn far back on the head-- an excellent hat for those with short hair or those who don't like the look of traditional hats," says Ellis. "Wearable year-round." We love how the variegations in the sock-weight yarn point up and stress the ridge pattern on the crown-- especially since you work in the round with two strands held together; you get the speed and instant gratification, but still keep the softness and seamlessness. A terrific travel project and gorgeous gift. First gauge is given with yarn doubled (to give a DK weight); second reflects the use of sock yarn.
