We never gave a thought to those little lingerie roses you see in fabric stores until we saw this pattern. Now we are grateful to the designing minds who can see their delicate decorative possibilities. This set is quite distinguished and dainty enough without them-- we love the single, circling motif on the beret and the little lace detail on the bootee toes-- but the rosettes just make the whole thing. The lace pattern is only 4 rows high. All items are knit flat and seamed; the bootee details even extend to separate instructions for the left and right straps!
