Perhaps you're already familiar with this extraordinary lace pattern-- Barbara Walker fittingly named it "Frost Flowers" in one of her Treasuries. Here is a lovely, lovely garment featuring that element alone, designed-- as you might expect-- in Italy. It's worked with two strands of laceweight held together throughout. The back and sleeves are plain st st: the length is cropped, as shown (the garment does end pretty much where the belt starts; the front launches right into the lace with no ribbing). Every edge has one or more selvage stitches, or full-fashioning. Sleeve caps are high, back neck straight; pattern is written out only, not charted.

I think thats a typo!
I think everyone will struggle to manipulate the 58.0 mm needles required by this design!! LOL

I would also like to add: the ribbed knitting, in a different yarn, you see in the photo below the belt is actually part of a skirt. The skirt pattern is not included. Also there are knitted cuffs on the sleeves shown, matching the skirt and they are also not part of the pattern. The sleeves are in fact, full length and all in Mohair Royal. This is a VERY beautiful sweater!
