This extraordinary llama/silk yarn has just enough drape that the gauge in the rib is the same as that in st st. Which means that this piece is supremely comfortable to wear and soft beyond belief. It's also intriguing to make, in a symmetrical kind of goblet shape, which-- after two short seams-- gives you the delicious little vest/waistcoat/shrug you see before you. It's incredibly versatile, and can be worn over almost any kind of top, and under roomy blazers or more formal jackets. It's a great trans-seasonal piece, too, and looks good worn open or closed with whatever implement appeals to you.
