Kristin Nicholas

for Classic Elite Yarns   1993

434 East Inlet Aran
WEB EXCLUSIVE

How to define a Nicholas aran? They are never retiring, subtle, delicate little pieces; their cables strut and display strange plumage. In other words, the cables are bold and unusual and the scale exaggerated (small or large). Here is one drop shoulder design intended for the family, in a tunic or standard length, to fit children of about age 6 on up through quite large adults. To feminize it, you can knit and sew on the 'pointed edging' along the pockets and hem-- or not. Instructions are quite abbreviated and chart-free, but clear nonetheless. Original yarn no longer available, but Renaissance should substitute very well after you get gauge.
