GU419 Swing Vest
WEB EXCLUSIVE

"Easy to knit and fun to wear, the Swing Vest is worked in a simple 2-row lace pattern," says Dempsey. "The button closes into one of the holes in the lace, so no buttonhole is needed! Separate instructions are included for both worsted (first gauge) and chunky weight (second gauge, and shown in picture) yarns." This is a dead easy pattern if you can increase and decrease and do yo's: there are absolutely no curved edges at all. The only way the neck or armholes are delineated is through a sweet lacy edging pattern, but that's built into the overall rectangles of the back and fronts. You cast off the shoulders together, sew side seams, add a garter stitch neckband and that's it-- except for sewing on the lone button.
