764 Chain d'Amour Scarf
WEB EXCLUSIVE

"For the lunatic fringe," says irrepressible Neatby. "Knitted chain mail requires a degree of patience (ah, understatement-- Ed.), but is immensely entertaining. The result is very striking; however, it is unsuitable for serious in-battle wear! The Chain Mail is constructed from links made from lengths of I-cord. There are two types of links: Closed and Connecting... " and away she goes, providing authentic instructions for making knitted scarf armour. Get your friends together to knit a few lengths, like a quilting bee. There are "Least Stressful" and "A Tad More Sophisticated" options for grafting the links closed (this is grafting grad school), and tips for felting (if desired). A stunning pattern of endless applicability.

I'm trying to imagine the mind that comes up with this kind of thing! Wonderful. I've taken some classes with Lucy Neatby and she is a knitting diva. Thanks, Lucy!
