"For the intermediate knitter with experience knitting in the round," begins Glidden, "This pattern is both charted and written out. It's knit from the center of the top, increasing to the brim, rib for the brim, cast off in I-Cord. For best results, knit in a firm dk weight wool." This is a gorgeous tam. It looks very elegant and lush and discreet, the kind of thing that Grace Kelly would have worn. It is also one of those fortunate shapes that looks very becoming on almost everyone. We are especially fond of the generous brim; more head-friendly than skimpy ones, and the I-cord cast-off is a very polished conclusion.
