"This summer beach dress is crocheted in our MerLin yarn," says Louet. "For a playful effect beads are attached while it is being crocheted. (But they're) optional, (though) adding them gives the dress a nice finishing touch." Another triumph with beads, which we encourage you to use-- they're only along the front midriff and at the armhole, and it's a great skill to learn placing them with a hook as you go. We wonder how lovely this would be worn back to front, too (with the V so deep), though you would likely want to wear something light underneath it. Gauge is 24 dc and 12 rows to 4" with a 3mm/US c-2 or D-3 hook; American crochet terminology.
