The garment on the left is a pretty, versatile 1 x 1 rib with tiny little built-in cap sleeves and a drawstring. The original yarn was 45% viscose, 35% nylon, 20% linen; 14 sts to 4"/10cm on a 5.5mm/US9 needle in st st, 87 yards/80 metres to 50g. The garment on the right is simply a legend. There's no side shaping; the curves all happen naturally because of its innate construction, and yes, the front is all worked as one piece in a mitred fashion. The back is the same patterning with no twist or mitreing. Shoulders are shaped, too. Beyond this we have no words. Original yarn for it was 85% cotton, 15% nylon, 18 st to 4"/10cm on a 5.5mm/US9 needle in st st, 87 yards/80 metres to 50g.
