"Short rows and increases unite to create a graceful spiral that can wrap cleanly around your shoulders," says Bryant, "or be pinned in front to create a softly-draped fall. The long version is worked in Frost (Thunderclap colorway) while the shorter version is worked in Indulgence (Tahoe colorway), our wonderful new yarn of silk and kid mohair." As a master dyer, Bryant can be expected to come up with extraordinary ways of using variegates, but this design really is remarkable. They're done in garter stitch (gauge is given so) and shaped with short rows (wrapped) to enormous effect. First gauge is for Frost, second for Indulgence.
