HSS19 Christmas Stocking (Cuff Down)

"I did this card/pattern 18 years ago!" smiles Erickson-Schweitzer. "This stocking features corrugated ribbing and stranded colorwork. The pattern was originally published in the format of a holiday greeting card. The terminology and writing style pre-dates the official launch of the Jackie E-S/HeartStrings pattern line, but patterns like this are timeless. Merry Christmas and wishes for a Happy New Year of enjoyable knitting."

A gorgeous stocking in traditional holiday colours, with the classic Norwegian 8-pointed star motif. Classic sock construction with a grafted toe. Needle size is a guess (the designer recommends US 7/4.5 mm here); use whatever gives you the suggested gauge of 5 stitches per inch (although size/gauge is not as critical as having a firm fabric).
