There's not much to say about this pattern except that it is one of the handsomest socks imaginable.

Less daunting than it looks, too. Gallimore calls it a "faux fair isle" because the contrast colour is a variegated yarn, and therefore only two colours are ever used throughout the sock.

We gaze at it as much as if it were our favourite painting.
