Knit it closer for the younger, hipper guy; with more ease for a mature fellow. This is one of the very few patterns we've seen done in the round with anything but standard raglan shaping-- and it does look very polished, while the entire yoke remains easy to finish. We do not consider grafting the underarms to be 'sewing', and that's all the 'sewing' there is. Hames blogged about coming up with and fine-tuning the design here-- check it out!
