Dead simple, wicked fast, and flattering with the garter stitch running vertically up and down your body. There's a little front slope shaping, so that the front borders are somewhat shorter then the sides; the middle of the back is correspondingly somewhat longer than the sides, too. You can either close it with a single button (as shown in the inset photo), or knit a separate long scarf and sew it to the neck, for a self-scarfing option. Armhole ribs are just picked up from the top sides and knitted down; there's no other armhole shaping at all. A nice little vesty basic when the going gets chillier. Gauge is given over garter stitch.
