A smorgasbord, a cornucopia, a variety show of colour and texture. De Longpre made the first picture's wrap out of the Paint Box in a number of different colourways; the others appear (appear!) to be in only one, with a harmonizing solid if desired. Extravagant in appearance and great fun to make, there's I-cord and garter stitch and eyelets and bobbles and mitres and all manner of knit/purl and slipped stitch work, and because too much is never enough, there's an edging too. All is heartily explained and there's a couple of very helpful schematics.

Pattern now includes instructions for making a scarf from the shawl pattern -- in sock yarn!
