One of Szabo's best-selling patterns, it's miraculously simple but interesting to work. One of the few 'laces' that look equally good on men or women (though perhaps men would prefer a smaller, scarf size). Clearly written and simply charted; there are only four rows, with the even ones working the stitches as they appear-- there are only two real pattern rows. Szabo states that an 'ambitious beginner' can make it, but it would be as well to be very comfortable with knitting and purling. The yarn specified is likewise ideal for women and men, being a sumptuous blend of cashmere, cotton, and hemp.
