Minerva's Tower Socks (Cuff Down)
The owl of Minerva spreads its wings only with the falling dusk -- G.W.F. Hegel
"The owl is a symbol of wisdom, and in Roman mythology the owl belongs to Minerva," explains Ferguson. "This cable & lace combination looks like stacked owls with little faces and curved horns formed from the yarnovers and the cables. Loosely based on a stitch pattern from the Walker books, this motif has a real wow factor to it. To see it best, work it up in semi-solid or solid yarn!"
