"The center panel and border of this design are both started with a provisional cast-on," explains Patterson. "The border is attached to the center panel as it is knit. The last ten border stitches are grafted to the first ten border stitches to finish the shawl. The border naturally folds over a bit at the neck when worn, like a lacy collar. The smallest size provided is a scarf. The other two sizes are shawls of different dimensions, though they use the same amount of yarn." Just wearing this piece is the equivalent of flashing your eyes at the world.
