"This elegant and straightforward sweater knits up quickly from bottom up in Aran or Worsted weight yarns," says Frankel. "The raglan construction features decreases at different rates to get more of a fitted feel (very high-class stuff, this-- Ed.). Short rows are used to shape a scoop neck and to lift the back of the neck at the same time." Frankel is an extremely conscientious pattern writer, in addition to being a gifted designer. The size range is huge and the lace both written out and clearly charted. We don't count closing underarms as 'seaming' (graft them if you can), so it's no sewing, too!
