Or, an option is provided to omit the cable instructions and just make a plain ribbed pair. Really, with the yarn possibilities here (you can use four different weights, from fingering to Aran, to customize the size), you can kit out a lot of different hand sizes. Two sets of instructions are given, one for the two heavier weights, and one for the two lighter. As you can see, they are not specifically masculine or feminine in appearance-- just great-looking, and a tremendous introduction to cables and knitting in the round.
