"Damask is one of those designs that grew from my hook as I doodled," says Temple. "It doesn't look at all like what I originally envisioned, but I love its Victorian look, and how it makes great use of the silky, drapey qualities of the bamboo yarn. I was inspired by the meandering textures of old damask napkins and tablecloths. Choose your own favorite colors for the flower centers-- these remind me of a series of fabrics that were popular in the 1940's.
