Latvian Wedding Socks

A spectacular combination of fair isle and Latvian braid techniques. The paler sections of a self-striping yarn are cut out, and so the multicolour effect is highlighted without the need to buy many different colours of contrasting sock yarns. So: one white or off-white ball combined with another self-striping yarn from the darker half of the spectrum, and you're away. This is the best-selling pattern that Red Bird Knits has ever produced.
