Breathtaking. Displays every element of good design, and it's knitterly, too. This piece has its body and sleeves worked separately in the round, which are then united and finished as one tube up to the neck. The magic is in the transgression of the ribbing-- its wayward and flattering march at a steep angle up over your bosom and then coiling up towards the neck. Nothing's charted, but then it doesn't need to be; movement rounds are established by markers and performed at regular intervals. Originally done in a worsted weight 90% merino/10% cashmere blend, this design is worthy of all the finest fibres. There's 'sewing' only under the arms; hardly worth mentioning.
