"Crochet this warm and lovely stole in a jiffy," exhorts Wright. "It uses an easily memorized yet interesting stitch pattern and soft alpaca yarn to create the perfect shoulder warmer!" This is one of those great patterns that uses the neat notation/ drawing system for illustrating just exactly how to perform the crochet stitches: it's extremely clear and natural to interpret. Instructions are written out, though, should you prefer it. Gauge (though it's not critical for this project) is 15 sts/12 rows = 4"/10cm in pattern with a I/9 (5.5mm) hook.
