This essential basic garment is easily constructed in two pieces, front and back; the sleeves are worked as a piece with them, so there's no worry about setting them in afterwards. The only seams are at the sides and shoulders. The cabled rib is really a mock baby cable not requiring any cable needle, and is a wonderful knitting trick to learn for a beginner. The only shaping is at the front neck. This is a great, easy, lightweight tee with lots of drape, and really highlights a beautiful yarn. Asia is no longer available, but any of the other yarns suggested will knit to the specified gauge using the needle size required on their ball bands.
