A very simple shape, onto which you build an involving combination of techniques. A project for the ages is the result. This thrilling jacket is based on a drop-shoulder, straight-lined silhouette, into which you work cables and some intarsia leaves (with contrasting, duplicate-stitch stems). The generous shawl collar, worked separately, is not done with short rows (phew) but merely by casting on stitches at the beginning of shaping rows... many times. The chart and type are smallish, and the right front is done "as for left front... reversing... shaping", but you'll happily cope, because it's magnificent and worth it. Classic Elite recommends its Renaissance for this project instead of the defunct Boston.
