Enormous fun to wear for kids 1 - 7 or 8 years old, these vests are a terrific way to use up scraps (do all the polka dots or hearts have to be the same shade?) and turn your small child into a walking carnival of colour. Most unusually for the British, the motifs are charted (with the polka dots available in two different scales, larger or smaller). Make them plain, or fool around to your heart's content with combinations and textures. Back vent with buttons provided for the two smallest sizes. Note that the 4 ply yarn is worked to a sport tension or gauge (24 instead of the usual 28 sts=4"/10cm).
