Once again Klein uses the unique qualities of Venus to great effect. Noro yarns can vary in long colourway repeats; Venus can vary like that, but in texture and composition too. So the multidimensional cardi you see before you is created by the yarn alone-- and a bit of stitchwork on your part. Needless to say, every garment made from Venus is one of a kind; the impact is almost that of a crazy quilt, but with very posh ingredients and a sophisticated colour sense. With such materials, it's wise to keep the design itself quieter, and Klein does so-- even to the extent of building in the buttonbands as you go.
