As we transition through seasons, we need pieces that are adaptable. If they're becoming and straightforward to make, so much the better. Here is a classic twinset with minimal lace panels on the drop-shoulder cardi, and an allover lace pattern on the (set-in) short-sleeved top, that should cover a lot of wardrobe bases. You have both a V neck and a crew for versatility, and the option of looking either very conservative (wearing both) or very Lana Turner (short-sleeved piece alone; recommended ease for this is nil).
