These unusually appealing fingerless gloves took Third Place in the first Cherry Tree Hill Design Contest of 2009. They seem to warm you even as you look at them; their main motifs really do look like candle flames, and as such, these gloves are perfectly well suited to men as well as women. The pattern is detailed, with the cabling written out and charted both. And happily there's none of the dreaded "work left glove to match the right, reversing shaping": each hand is written out separately to delight the knitter.
