This adorable set is very easy to make, and if your embroidery skills are spotty, you don't have to do any of it (though why not give it a try?). There are two colourways given, one each for boys and girls, and really the whole thing is just a symphony of stripes which you can dress up or down to taste. Construction is a breeze-- the only shaping is at the front neck, and the shoulders are a straight drop. Large colour charts are provided with the stripe sequence, and embroidery instructions, and if you use up scraps for embroidered sections it'll be both frugal and extra-interesting. Large size range fits 6 months to 6 years.
