"This is the fourth in my series of Mosaic socks," says Gallimore. "A great 2-colour project as you work with only one colour at a time. Works well in contrasting solids or a solid and a variegated. Each pattern round is worked twice so you can choose to add texture by purling the second round (see the back of the ankle in the picture)." We find mosaic knitting so intriguing, so strange and yet familiar, that we are quite fascinated by this sock-- which is Gallimore's Sock of the Month for January 2009.
