Look at the ribbing! In Swedish two-ended 'twined' knitting (tvaandstickning), this is how it can come out-- almost tubular in effect, but looking totally different! Knitters looking to gently acquire a facility with new techniques will geek out over this; it's simple, versatile, fits everyone, and teaches something very valuable to learn. Items produced using this method are unusually thick and warm, and thrifty too; one skein of yarn made this hat, which Ellis says would not have been possible using a fair isle technique.
