"This stitch pattern tilts back and forth," observes Patterson, "sort of like Entrelac knitting, but without all the fuss." She seems to have a gift for producing work that looks like it must have been made with a cable needle, but was in fact not. The fascinating effect here is produced just through increases and decreases. Note that after every odd round, the stitch count will be different than after every even round; but those numbers are always constant. Stitch pattern is both charted and written out. This pattern makes a very handsome sock, suitable for either men or women.
