"My parents," reveals Patterson, "met during the 1950s when swing dancing was all the rage. They lived here on the west coast so always danced the West Coast Swing. This is the first (but last posted on Patternfish: the others are here and here-- Ed.) of a series of patterns based on the swing stitch pattern, which naturally reminds me of my parents, and how they met. The Flying Lindy is a fast-moving variation of the West Coast Swing." Stitch patterns are both written and charted in this generous pattern; there's no cabling, just YO's and decreases.
