Linda Pratt
for Nashua Handknits
Hooded Jacket
Here is where great wisdom and unquestioned command of your craft and materials takes you. Pratt makes a super bulky yarn drape like an alpaca/silk blend, and creates a garment that is easy to make and yet appears straight from a European runway. The strong vertical of the garter buttonbands flows straight up into the hood border, providing a smashing slimming design element. The back neck, of course, is shaped, along with the shoulders; sleeves and armholes are slightly set in and have a little cap; all in all, a dramatic, classy, great coat.
