Kristin Nicholas,
Beth Brown-Reinsel

for Classic Elite Yarns   2000

855 Get Together
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Nicholas reins in her intense exuberance to design quieter adult garments here (for those who can't handle the full-calorie version of the real thing!). She goes to a busier town with the child's garment, though, using a more challenging textured stitch in which you create extra stitches and then eliminate them; no cable needle required. But Brown-Reinsel's work is a standout, too. Her unshaped cropped green cardi has mirrored stitch detailing on the left and right shoulders, and fascinating contrast-colour embroidery (not fair isle) on the buttonbands. Tapestry is no more, but Classic Elite's Renaissance should substitute very well. First gauge is Montera for the ribbed pull; second is the cropped cardi in Tapestry.
