Extraordinary. Both. Two immense talents on a clear sunny day. Nicholas, in the vest on the left, nails every key facet of her uniqueness (use of colour, motif, fair isle, intarsia, and the combinations thereof) and makes it all seem antique. Gaughan, in the cardi, designs an original cable pattern that is at once square and circular, new and old, mythic and ordinary, and surrounds it with edging details that echo the cable elements. Tapestry is no more, but Classic Elite's Renaissance should give the requisite colour and textural impact necessary for these expert designs.
